Kfar Tikva (the “Village of Hope”) is a unique community located in Israel’s Lower Galilee region that is home to 200 adults with developmental and emotional disabilities, whose ages range from 20 to 74. We have a staff of 85, and 20 full-time volunteers from Israel and abroad.
Kfar Tikva is a pastoral village, but it is filled will a great deal of activity and energy. Our residents spend their workdays at the onsite boutique winery, candle factory, and craft workshops, where they gain immense personal satisfaction from seeing the fruits of their labors.
Of equal importance to our residents are all of the leisure and cultural activities offered at Kfar Tikva. We believe that people with special needs should have as much choice as possible with respect to how they spend their time. We therefore offer them a wide range of classes, sports activities, workshops and dramatic performances.
Kfar Tikva also provides its members with meaningful opportunities to integrate in the community at large. Fifty of our members live in the adjacent town of Kiryat Tiv’on and commute to Kfar Tikva to benefit from our services and employment centers, while many of those who live in Kfar Tikva itself commute to the surrounding villages for work and leisure opportunities.
